Podium Underground 3
Each race consists of 4 laps of the track - a total of 3000m per race In total, 120 athletes will race (60 x male and 60 x female athletes).
HEATS: 5 races x 12 athletes (60 x athletes in total) The first 4 x athletes from each heat automatically qualify for the next round + the 4 x fastest losers
SEMI-FINALS: 2 races x 12 athletes (24 x athletes in total) The first 5 athletes from each semi-final automatically qualify for the final + the 2 x fastest losers
FINAL: 1 race x 12 athletes
